Roshi Nicolee Jikyo McMahon

Nicolee Jikyo McMahon Roshi, received Dharma Transmission from Taizan Maezumi Roshi in 1995 and Inka from Genpo Merzel Roshi in 2006. She is a co-founder of Three Treasures Zen Community.  Nicolee is married to Barry Kaigen McMahon Roshi.  She has two children, a stepson, and four grandchildren.  She is a painter, does beadwork and is a semi-retired Marriage and Family Therapist.  Nicolee originated the Practice of Immediacy in the Arts® (PIA) an innovative means to access creativity.  Her book Arte of Now:  Practice of Immediacy in the Arts is about this process.  She also wrote A Lamp Onto Ourselves and The Student-Teacher Relationship, A Zen Perspective.  She is currently writing a memoir.

Nicolee Roshi has seven successors:  Robert Joshin Althouse Roshi, Bill Yoshin Jordan Roshi, Jake Jiyu Gage Roshi, Joan Hogetsu Hoeberichts Roshi, Annie Purna Pirruccello Roshi, Marzena Ryonen Rey Roshi, Steve Aishi Sarian Roshi.
