I was born and raised in New York City, and grew up taking the subway for an hour each way to High School. My career in the food business started my junior year in high school when I was a vendor at Madison Square Garden: selling ice cream, soda and pretzels at everything from professional sporting events to the Ice Capades, the circus and rock concerts.

I then went to college in Williamstown, Massachusetts, where I was an English major, and rowed on the crew. Upon graduation started my “full time” career in sales, marketing and business development.

I was drawn to eastern philosophy and religion due to the fact that “the fall“ is internal (rather than external), and as such, we are responsible for our own healing. I became a member of the ZLMC immediately after meeting ROSHI June on a zoom call with members of my synagogue where she explained Buddhism in a comparative religion class.

I am engaged by seeking and searching, and I am always more comfortable when I understand things. I love studying as it is the perfect complement to my sitting practice, and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes I have taken(while also learning that not every thought that gets manufactured in my head needs to be delivered out the mouth).
