Jane Radiant-Joy Chen

Jane Radiant-Joy Chen (she/her), BA Theater Studies Yale University, is the owner and head teacher at Jane Chen Vocal Studio in Los Angeles, California. She teaches wonderful enthusiastic students how to resonate the sound, expand their range, and perform their favorite songs

She has a background in clowning and experimental theater, and actually collaborated with composers such as Robert Lopez (Frozen) and Dave Malloy (Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1862) in the early days. She is most proud of her co-creation of the original “quirky ditty” musical The Chinese Clown Cabaret with her late mother, a total non-performer (who upstaged her frequently).

Currently her interest lies in combining creativity and healing fromn trauma with her Buddhist practice. She continues to learn more and more about compassion inside and out, especially from her Dharma Teacher Jitsujo Gauthier.
